Symbolic computation and new travelling wave solutions for fifth-order nonlinear dispersive f K (m, n) equations

Based on computerized symbolic computation and some proper transformations, the tanh-method is improved. Using the improved method, we investigate fifth-order nonlinear dispersive f K (m, n) equations, μ ^n-1μ_t + α(μ^m)x + b(μⁿ)_xxx + (μⁿ)_xxxxx = 0. As a result, the more general solutions for f K (n, n) equations are obtained, which not only contain the compactons solutions but also contain many new compact and noncompact solutions. Five families of new travelling wave solutions for f K (m, n), (m ≠ n) equations are obtained, which contain kink-shaped solitons, bell-shaped solitons, triangular periodic solutions and singular solitons.
