Study on band gap of one-dimensional porous silicon phononic crystal

摘要

Due to the density and/or elastic moduli can be modulated by controlling the porosity of porous silicon, one-dimensional phononic crystals with customized parameters can be economically fabricated using porous silicon multilayer structures with periodically modulated porosity. In this work, simulations were performed to predict the band gap, and the aim is to design one-dimensional porous silicon phononic crystal. It indicated that the thin inserting layer with high porosity could obtain the wide band gap, and phononic crystal hetrostructure can also enlarge the band gap.
