N2 - The escalating crisis and ever changing developments in Ukraine and Syria have sparked widespread concern in China and among the international community at large. What are the security prospects confronting Europe and the Eurasian region? This paper will illustrate the current developments and future outlook of these regions by studying diachronically how Europe and the Eurasian region have been changing geopolitically and economically over the years, the trilateral relationship between Russia, US and China, as well as China’s reaction towards it.
