Hierarchical Cascading Technique for Single Periodic SAW Models

摘要

The hierarchical cascading technique (HCT) has been widely applied to finite-element method (FEM) analysis of surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices. However, there is no existing literature discussing the application of HCT to the solving of single periodic models. In this paper, we propose the use of HCT to reduce the degrees of freedom and time consumption for single periodic SAW models. Numerical results indicate that the HCT can accelerate SAW structures without perfectly matched layer (PML), achieving nearly a half-time savings when the model's degrees of freedom are relatively small.
