摘要

In this paper, an optimized hierarchical cascade technique (HCT) is proposed for the finite element simulation of surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonators with finite length structures. It begins by analyzing the issue of unit reuse between short-circuit (SC) reflectors and Interdigital Transducer (IDT), revealing the limitations of the original HCT in terms of unit reuse. Subsequently, a cascade unit reuse strategy based on electric port combination is proposed to fully leverage the periodicity of the overall SAW device structure and effectively reduce the reliance on independent basic units. In the validation of the 2D SAW resonator model, the optimized HCT significantly improves the simulation efficiency, in which the time is reduced by 37.8%, and the storage is effectively reduced. Overall, this study successfully realizes the optimization of HCT, and improves the efficiency of finite-length device simulation through in-depth analysis of SAW resonator structure and HCT.
