This article introduces the major scientific achievements and contributions made by academician Dr. EnzeMin, recipient of the 2007 National Supreme Science and Technology Award, covering: (1) the founder of applied catalysis science to develop petroleum refining catalysts and to laid the technical foundation for manufacturing China's petroleum processing catalysts; (2) the forerunner of independent innovation for developing new catalytic materials and novel reaction engineering; (3) the pioneering explorer in the field of green chemistry and green technologies to support nation's sustainable development.
