A Source-Driven Push-Push Doubler with Wideband 2ndHarmonic Feedback

摘要

This paper proposes a source-driven push-push frequency doubler with second harmonic feedback. The innovative second harmonic feedback technique is subjected to detailed analysis and simulation, thereby demonstrating its potential to enhance conversion gain across a broad operational bandwidth. A prototype push-push frequency doubler is implemented in a 40nm CMOS process. The broadband matching of the source-driven multiplier and the proposed band second harmonic feedback technique allows for a 3dB bandwidth of 55GHz-93GHz with 51% fractional bandwidth, as demonstrated by the simulation.
