Abstract
This study presents a new method to prepare the ZnS-epoxy resin nanocomposites. An epoxy resin microemulsion is taken as a microreactor for the formation of ZnS nanocrystals. After the reaction, the collected epoxy resin is proved to be a composite with embedded nanoZnS. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicated that the ZnS nanocrystals are dispersed uniformly in cured epoxy resin matrix.
