Abstract
Unit time-phase signal sets have many important applications in radar or sonar systems. Upper bounds or lower bounds on the maximum cross ambiguity amplitudes of n, M unit time-phase signal sets with M ≥ 2 have been presented in the literature. In this paper, we use Gauss sums to determine the explicit maximum cross ambiguity amplitudes of some infinite series of unit time-phase signal sets which were constructed by Ding et al. (Cryptogr Commun 5:209–227, 2013).
