Abstract

A series of filters for terahertz range with tunable channels have been demonstrated. The filters are based on narrow transmission bands, which originate from a defect mode that appears due to insertion of different width of air layer into periodic one-dimensional photonic crystal. We prepared the filters experimentally and measured the transmission characteristic of the filters by using infrared spectrometer. The experimental results are agreement with the calculation results.
