Abstract

Phylogenetic analyses of an rbcL sequence dataset indicates that the generitype Pedinophyllum interruptum nests within the Plagiochilaceae. Previous reports of Pedinophyllum truncatum in the Adelanthaceae or Jamesoniellaceae are likely based on a misidentification of Syzygiella nipponica.
