Abstract
This report describes the development of a simple, easy-to-fabricate, sensitive, and stable nitric oxide sensor. The sensor is based on the [N′, N-(1, 3-proanediyliene)bis (1, 2-benzene diamino-N′, N′, N″, N‴]nickel(Ni( II )L) mediator is electropolymerized on a platinum, Nafion-modified microelectrode(diameter 15 μm). The detection of NO is based on the Ni( II )L catalysis of NO oxidation at an anodic potential of +0.74 V. The electrocatalytic oxidation mechanism is also discussed. The Ni( II )L modified microelectrode was used to monitor NO in human blood, the results suggest that the sensor can detect NO in vitro.
