Abstract
The rapid and accurate detection of pathogenic agents remains a significant challenge in modern public health. In recent years, analytical techniques such as electrochemical sensors and Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) have shown tremendous potential in public health emergencies, owing to their exceptional performance characteristics, including high sensitivity, selectivity, low cost, and portability. Innovations in electrode materials, SERS substrates, and platform detection technologies have had a profound impact on various aspects of public health. This chapter provides an overview and discussion of the latest developments and applications of these techniques, with a focus on electrochemical methods, SERS, and multi-platform integration in advancing public health monitoring and response strategies.
