Abstract

The effects of three kinds of silica gel on high-silica ZSM-5 zeolite synthesis were studied. The specific surface area of silica gel was found to have significant effect on the zeolite synthesis. The larger the specific surface area of the silica gel, the better the synthesis results. By using improved synthesis methods, it is possible to obtain high crystallinity ZSM zeolite without miscellaneous quartz crystals.
