Abstract
Most of the Texture Synthesis from Samples (TSfS) approach is only suitable to deal with single sample texture. This paper describes a method to merge two samples texture into a result one, where parameter can be used to control the rate of the original textures in the result image. In our approach, a zigzagged double direction scanning method is also introduced to improve the image quality of mixing: firstly a scan line order is assigned to the first line, then from the end of next line of the image, an opposite scan order is used, and in the third line, the scan line order is resumed again. This order is repeated until to the end of the image. Furthermore, a texture transfer approach is developed to meet the user's different need. User can conveniently obtain different kinds of result by designing or adjusting his own target photo. In our test, a mixed photo of 300×300 can be finished in several seconds.
