Abstract

Synthesis of.... A catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) method to conveniently fabricate ordered mesoporous carbons with rigid nanotube structures using SBA-15 as the template is presented. The structure of the resulting carbon is controlled by changing the duration of the CCVD. Both the CCVD time and the complementary micropores across the walls of SBA-15 are demonstrated to play essential roles in the formationof highly ordered mesoporous carbons composed of carbon nanotubes.
