Abstract

A high performance NaA zeolite membrane was successfully formed on a modified α-Al₂O₃ substrate. It was shown that adding an active thin mesoporous top layer on the macroporous substrate can increase the permeance of the zeolite membrane while maintaining good permselectivity. Thus, more effort was needed to investigate how to improve the integrity of the zeolite membrane.
