Abstract

A new kind of uniform hollow zeolite microspheres was successfully synthesized by an efficient strategy of post mild alkaline etching and characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD and N 2 adsoption-desorption, etc. This novel product possessed hollow architecture, submicrometer-size, highly crystallized zeolite shells with penetrating mesopore structure and a low diameter-to-shell thickness ratio. Such hollow-structured zeolite microspheres show high capability for adsorbing dye materials.
