Abstract
Complexes of 4-acetylbiphenyl thiosemicarbazone with Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Zn(II) ions have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analyses, IR and electronic spectroscopy, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The ligand functions as a monobasic bidentate ligand bonding through the thiolate sulphur and azomethine nitrogen. Structures are proposed for the complexes. The formation constants of the complexes were determined using graphical methods.
