Abstract

A discrete event system is a dynamic system that evolves in accordance with the abrupt occurrence, at possibly unknown irregular intervals, of physical events. The supervisory control of product composition for discrete event systems is investigated. For discrete event systems modeled by automata, when the supervisors for two subsystems exist, the existence condition of supervisor composed from the sub supervisors for the overall product systems is obtained. Furthermore, the relationship of supervisors between the overall systems and the subsystems are also illustrated.
