N2 - With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence, the problems that students need to solve are more diversified and integrated. Therefore, it is very necessary to cultivate interdisciplinary problem-solving (IPS) ability for students. Pre-service STEM teachers play a very important role in interdisciplinary education, the analysis and evaluation of IPS ability of pre-service STEM teachers is helpful to understand the current ability level. Based on the literature review and the Delphi method, an evaluation indicator system for pre-service STEM teachers' IPS ability is constructed. Expert consultation and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method are used to determine the weight of indicators. 98 surveys from 10 colleges are collected, results indicated that the evaluation indicator system has high validity, pre-service STEM teachers' IPS ability is generally average. Finally, directions are also provided for evaluating and improving the IPS ability of pre-service STEM teachers.
