Abstract
The preparation methods and catalytic properties of the novel titanosilicates essentially with the MWW structure have been summarized. New methods such as crystallization-supporting, dry-gel conversion, fluoride media, structurally reversible conversion postsynthesis and bimodal structure-directing have been developed to prepare a new generation of Ti-MWW titanosilicates. Ti-MWW shows superior activity and product selectivity to conventional TS-1 and Ti-Beta in the epoxidation of various alkenes and ammoxidation of ketones. Ti-MWW is readily converted to the titanosilicates available for the oxidations of bulky molecules by means of delamination and interlayer expanding treatments. Metallosilicate containing Sn and Ga cations are the effective catalysts for Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of cyclic ketones with hydrogen peroxide.
