Abstract
The structural and optical properties of Ba(Cox, Ti 1-x)O3 thin films prepared on fused quartz substrate by a sol-gel method were discussed. It was observed that the films were of perovskite phase and the change of lattice constant caused by different Co concentration was unpredictable. It was also observed that the energy gap of Ba(Co x, Ti1-x)O3 decreased linearly with the increase of Co concentration. It was found that the energy level of conduction bands decline with the increase of Co contents.
