Abstract

The surface pressure /molecular area isotherms (π ∼ A) of lanthanium bisphthalocyanine were investigated, showing an edge-on molecular orientation of the macrocycle rings on the water subphase. Langmuir-Blodgett films of this compound were prepared and characterized using IR, UV-vis absorption spectroscopy.
