Abstract

The vibrational Raman and reflection spectra of 0.1wt-% fullerene doped optical glasses were investigated here, and the phosphate laser glass was used as the matrix for fullerene dopant. The results show that in comparison with the matrix phosphate glass, the Raman active modes and the infrared reflective characteristics are obviously changed in the fullerene doped phosphate glass. This may suggest the formation of some new molecules and network structure in this fullerene doped optical glasses.
