Abstract

Facebook has recently announced its OpenCellular platform for promoting open-source wireless access technology developments and broader applications. In this demonstration, we would like to show a software defined mobile network that realizes both eNB and EPC key functions according to the 3GPP LTE standard on a general purpose processor (GPP) based computational platform. It is very adaptive and flexible for supporting a variety of internet of things (IoT) applications in vertical industries.
