Abstract
An approach is proposed for surface reconstruction from contours based on the analysis of skeleton points. The scattered skeletal points are connected into a polygon, and then skeletal points with specific features are chosen. An optimal match between featured skeletal points is calculated, and thus the contours are divided into several matched segments. Finally, the surface is reconstructed from these pieces of matched sub-surface contour segments.
