Abstract

Single-atom catalysis has been attracting great interest, but the preparation of stable single-atom catalysts is challenging. Recently in Nature Chemistry, Tsang and colleagues reported the successful synthesis of an isolated Co atom on MoS2 monolayers, which exhibited superior activity, selectivity, and stability in the hydrodeoxygenation of 4-methylphenol to toluene.
