Abstract
Getting an "A": A label-free adenosine aptasensor has been designed based on adenosine-induced selfassembly of aptamer fragments. One aptamer fragment contains an abasic (AP) site, and the AP-site-binding ligands (*) are used as fluorescence probes for signal-off and signal-on responses. The aptasensor can detect adenosine with high selectivity over the other three nucleotides.
