Service model in grid environment and its application

A uniform and efficient service model is very important to integrate conveniently heterogeneous grid resources, to improve the efficiency of grid applications, and to facilitate consumers to use grid resources. This paper introduces the open grid service architecture (OGSA), proposes a service model based on OGSA, investigates service publication, discovery, invocation and security mechanisms in the model, and validates the feasibility of the model by an application. Thus, the model provides powerful support for commercial grid applications.
