Abstract
The immobilization of an ammonium salt on the pore surface of highly hydrothermally stable inorganic mesoporous material SBA-15 provided an efficient phase-transfer catalyst (PTC) that could easily be recovered and recycled. Compared with the corresponding polymer supported phase-transfer catalyst, it need not swell before use and shows relative high and sustained catalytic activity.
