Abstract

A mild and practical Rh2(OAc)4-catalyzed [2 + 1] annulation of alkynyl acylsilanes with aryl diazoacetates has been developed, affording a wide range of functionalized tetrasubstituted epoxides in high yields. This method features broad substrate scope, excellent functional group compatibility, and gram-scale scalability. The synthetic utility of the resulting epoxides is also demonstrated by diverse chemical transformations.
