Abstract

Research on the real-time wear of wire electrode during the precision micro hole's discharging machining. The wear of wire electrode is the key factor to affect the accuracy of the machining for the precision micro-hole. It affects the discharge gap and the dressing quantity during the machining at the same time. According to the method - the thickness increment of the test pieces, the test plan of many groups was made. Thus the data of the test was recorded. To analyze and fit the experimental data can receive the result. It shows that the processing time of micro-hole machining and the wire electrode real-time wear can be matched by a cubic equation of one unknown. The research provides the basis for identifying abnormal, predicting time and cost of the machining.
