Abstract

Based on the equivalent model of circuit, the equations of transimpedance gain of a single-in single-out and a single-in differential-out transimpedance amplifier were first deduced. The relationship between the output impedance of a photodiode and the trans-impedance gain was analyzed, and the equations were proved by circuit simulation in ADS software. Finally, conclusions drawn from theoretic analysis were proved by on-wafer S-parameters measurement of a single-in single-out transimpedance amplifier.
