Abstract

Tf2NH-mediated decarboxylative dearomatization reaction of benzonorcaradiene γ-ketoacids, in situ generated by intramolecular alkenylation of alkynylcyclopropane γ-ketoacids or their tert-butyl esters, has been described for regioselective synthesis of polyfunctionalized 1-acylmethyl-4-arylnaphthalenes.
