Abstract

As a kind of concentrated organic wastewater, soybean protein wastewater is difficult to be safely disposed. In order to reduce organic loading of the subsequent bio-treatments, Al2(SO4)3, FeCl3, PAC, PFS, TiCl4 and flocculant synthetized by paper mill sludge (PSF) were utilized as coagulants for pretreatment by of soybean protein wastewater. The application and performance of PDMDAAC, PAM and enteromorpha as coagulant aids were also examined in this research. Experimental results showed that efficient coagulation performance could be achieved by PAC as coagulant and PAM as coagulant aid at dosages of 0.3 g/L and 10 mg/L, respectively.
