Abstract

Preparation of a pillared montmorllonite hydrocracking catalyst containing Pd (designated as Pd-PM) and its feature were investigated in the laboratory. Pd-PM was used as a hydrocracking catalyst, which exhibited high activity of hydrocracking, strong aromatic saturation and good isomerization performances at lower temperature. Under a reaction temperature of less than 300°C and a pressure of less than 10 MPa, a feedstock of hydrocracking gas oil was hydrocracked over the said catalyst, and a high quality solvent oil with trace aromatics and free of olefin was produced.
