Abstract

Practical ability is the essential requirement for computer science undergraduates' ability structure, and it emphasizes that computer science undergraduates should have a good grasp of theory from practice and then apply the theory to practice, improving them own software developing skills and employ ability. The computer science practical teaching system include following components: software and hardware, algorithm design and mathematics modeling, system application and system development as well as system maintenance, and so on. In this paper, the practical education for computer science undergraduates at East China University of Science and Technology is described. The goal is to introduce computer science students to practical curriculum and to cultivate applied talents.
