Polarization-gated surface enhanced optical field and its applications

Abstract

We show that the polarization of surface-plasmon-resonance enhanced optical field can be manipulated to be linear by using a polarization-gating scheme, which benefits the ultrafast electron acceleration and efficient XUV frequency comb generation.
