Abstract

The study of crowd evacuation is of great significance in fire safety engineering. Traditional studies mostly focus on the global emulation and visualization of crowd evacuation and adopt a discrete evacuation space with little attention on the behavior of different persons. This paper firstly studies the response of each individual with respect to the surrounding environment and assumes the evacuation space is continuous, so we can calculate the evacuation time and path of each person more accurately. In addition, we establish a platform including realistic model of buildings, fire flame, actor animation, and finally simulate the crowd evacuation process dynamically and realistically.
