Abstract

Both optical absorption spectra and optical constants of vacuum sublimed films of a metal substituted phthalocyanine compound (MPc) were studied. The dynamic optical storage test of MPc as a recording medium showed that the carrier to noise ratio (CNR) of the 5.25″ disk is greater than 43 dB.
