Abstract

Switched stochastic systems can be used to describe the hybrid systems with randomness. However, the discrete switching logic and the stochastic dynamic processes are described with different languages, which makes the design and analysis hard. This paper proposes a new Petri net model to describe both the discrete switching logic, represented by Markov chain, and the stochastic dynamic processes, represented by a set of stochastic differential equations. Thus based on the proposed Petri net we can perform the simulation and analysis for the switched stochastic systems. Moreover, this Petri net can be further used as the design model for the further system implementation.
