Abstract

The current illumination characteristic of the white light emitting diodes (W-LEDs), the power and efficiency of the W-LED illumination module integrated by W-LEDs in series connection were studied and discussed, the optimized current range of the integrated illumination module is from 14 to 18 mA. The experiment result shows that the W-LEDs integrated light module processes much lower power consumption (2.4 W), higher luminescence efficiency (64.46 lm/W) and longer lifetime, current degradation is < 10% after 10 k hrs testing, comparing with that of the traditional lamps, such as tungsten lamp and fluorescent lamp.
