Abstract
The optical properties of Zr02:CdS films were studied with absorption and fluorescence spectra. The blue shift of band edge of CdS caused by the quantum size effect was observed. The fluorescence properties of ZrC-4CdS films at different excitation wavelength were studied. The weak luminescence of CdS can be observed. The influence of ZrC-2 dielectric matrix on the luminescence properties of CdS was also discussed.
