Abstract
We calculate the optical absorption spectra associated with an impurity in a corner of well material surrounded by barrier material. The results show that there are new peaks and a large extension for the optical transitions in the corner compared with those in the bulk. The dependence of the optical absorption spectra on the dielectric mismatch between the well material and the barrier material is also discussed.
