Abstract

By means of direct algebraic methods, generalized symmetries and conservation laws are obtained for a new parameterized 5th-order nonlinear evolution equation under the different parameters constraints. The multi-soliton solutions are also constructed by combining some nonlinear transformations and the simplified Hirota approach with the assistance of symbolic manipulation system Maple.
