N2 - It is well known that environment plays an important part in requirements engineering(RE). However, at present the time-continuous properties of the environment are not considered yet in RE. This paper proposes to model the time-continuous environment by constructing a software environment ontology. Based on this ontology, a small example is given for deriving software requirements specification using problem frames approach under different situations. The results show that the software behaviors can be more accurately determined with respect to time-continuous environment by using time as a measurement.
