Abstract

Morphological and molecular evidence shows that Spruceanthus wiggintonii A.E.D.Daniels, K.C.Kariyappa & P.Daniel from southern India is a synonym of the widespread Ptychanthus striatus (Lehm. & Lindenb.) Nees.
