Abstract

This paper proposed a fast and efficient image resizing method based on the spatial relationship of discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients between a block and its sub-blocks. The method not only realizes arbitrarily image resizing but also gets better effects and saves computation. Thus this algorithm can be widely used in the compressed image based on DCT transform, such as MPEG and JPEG standard.
