Abstract

We have developed a microcantilever based sensor array which can be functionalized with mercapto-compounds to detect proteins. Linear discriminant analysis (LDA) is used to differentiate the cantilever deflection patterns. It is concluded that more sensors give better separating capacity and the COOH and Si-OCH₃ groups are important factors in protein recognition.
